Know what Retargeting is? Retargeting, also known as remarketing, works by keeping track of online visitors who visit your website and displaying your retargeting ads to them as they visit other sites online. There is a general belief that if you are selling some products/services on your website and people somehow found their way to your website, they are more than likely interested in buying your products/services. So remarketing is highly targeted, it only shows your retargeting ads to people who have already expressed an interest in your products/services.
Some of the best known retargeting platforms include AdRoll, AdRetargeting, FetchBack, Recrue Media, SteelHouse, and ReTargeter. After some reading, digging, and searching, and here is what I come up with. If you want to test out retargeting with a limited budget, probably AdRoll is your best bet. Unlike most retargeting companies which only ask you to contact them for a quote, AdRoll offers a free two week trial (valued at $60), a detailed FAQ answering all the questions you might have, a minimum weekly budget requirement of only $25, very affordable CPMs of around $1-3, and even a referral program that will pay you 5% of what your referrals spend in their first year.
And of course, if you are a Google fan, you can always use Google’s own version of retargeting advertising called Adwords Remarketing. Adwords users can easily find the retargeting feature within the Adwords interface.
