Sahifa WordPress Theme Review

In my previous post, I showed you some of the cool looking responsive WordPress themes that I found on ThemeForest. One of the designs I really like is Sahifa theme.

Usually when I look for a WordPress theme, there are a few things I would be concerned about: 1. Is the theme responsive? 2. Does it allow unlimited tags to be displayed below the blog post? Some themes have a fixed space for tag display, that isn’t good if you have more than a few tags for each post. 3. If the blog post has no image, will the theme automatically display a “no image” thumbnail in the “recent posts” or other similar area? That is important because most of my posts do not have any image attachment, and those “no image” thumbnails would look awkward in the sidebar. So I emailed the developer a couple questions, I got my reply in a professional, timely manner, and now I’m a happy customer of this theme.

Here are two of the main reasons why I like Sahifa theme.

1. Ease of Setup – This theme is extremely easy to setup. The TiePanel has every setting you would need to setup your blog. Instead of using shortcodes to setup your homepage, a “Drag and Drop” Home Builder is provided, you just point and click and determine what elements you want to be displayed in your homepage. If you decided to use Home Builder, and selected “Home page displays News Boxes – use Home Builder” in TiePanel but those content doesn’t show up, remember to check your WordPress’ Reading Settings. Set “Front page displays” to “Your latest posts”.

2. Full of Features – There are too many to list, e.g. 9 advertisement widgets (most popular ad sizes are included), 70+ shortcodes, review system with multiple styles, 8 footer layouts, image resizing, theme updates, pagination, random post, related post, breaking news with 3 animation effects, theme setting export/import…

If you are still shopping around for a responsive WordPress theme for your blog, Sahifa theme could be a perfect theme for you.
